Your Printing, Our Problem

(in the best way)

If you’re looking for out-of-the-box corporate printing solutions, just bring the brief (or the napkin sketch) and we’ll bring the brains, boldness and gear to make it happen. No jargon. No ghosting. Just a quick consult, fast decisions and top-notch results.

And when things inevitably change at the last minute? We pivot like pros. Nothing leaves our hands unless it’s spot on. And we’ll even chuck it in the post for you.

Interlace prides itself to be one of the best printing companies (if not the best) to work with.  If you want cheap printing or high-end printing, or anything in between - we deliver quality printed results based on individual needs.

FAQs

What are your artwork requirements for a high-resolution print?

We typically require print-ready PDF files with a resolution of 300dpi (dots per inch) at the final print size. This ensures sharp, clear images and text, preventing pixelation. All fonts should be outlined, and images embedded.

What is "bleed" and why do I need it? How much do I need

Bleed is the area of your design that extends beyond the trim edge of your finished printed piece. It's essential to prevent a thin, unprinted white line from appearing at the edge of your design if there's any slight shift during the cutting process. We generally require 3mm of bleed on all sides.

What are printers marks/crop marks and do I need them?

Printers marks (or crop marks) are lines printed on the corners of your artwork to indicate where the printed piece should be trimmed. They help our production team cut your job precisely to size. While many professional design programs automatically add these, if you're unsure, our design team can often add them for you.

Which software is best for print design: InDesign, Illustrator, or Canva?

Adobe InDesign: Ideal for multi-page documents like brochures, books, and magazines, offering powerful layout and text handling. Adobe Illustrator: Best for vector graphics, logos, illustrations, and single-page designs where precision and scalability are key. Canva: Excellent for quick, simple designs and social media graphics. While it has improved, it can be less suitable for complex print jobs, critical colour matching, or designs requiring specific print-ready features like custom bleed settings or advanced font embedding. For professional, high-quality print, InDesign or Illustrator are generally preferred. Printing Technologies

What's the difference between Lithographic (Litho) and Digital Printing? When should I choose each

Lithographic Printing (Offset): Uses plates to transfer ink onto paper. Excellent for large print runs (typically 500+ items) where cost-per-unit drops significantly, offering superior colour consistency and a wider range of paper stocks and special finishes. Digital Printing: Prints directly from a digital file without plates. Ideal for smaller print runs, variable data printing (personalisation), and quick turnarounds. It's more cost-effective for quantities below 500.

Do you offer sustainable print options?

We do. From recycled stock, pvc free alternatives to veggie inks and smart packaging choices, just ask and we’ll recommend planet-friendlier options.

How do I get started?

Easy. Drop us a line, give us the lowdown and we’ll get the ball rolling. No faff, no forms, no nonsense.
