Which Good Causes Do We Support?
At Interlace Creative Print we believe that alongside enjoying success, it’s important to give something back. Throughout the year we donate and support a range of charities, all of which are close to our hearts.
DOPPSI – Diabetes Outreach Prevention Programmes International treats and supports people with diabetes in deprived areas throughout the UK and Africa, as well as teaching people how to avoid diabetes through diet. Co-Founder Kofi, leads the UK operation in generating awareness, donations and assistance of the ongoing support. DOPPSI also reaches out to those in Ghana, Rwanda and Kenya who may not be fortunate enough to be able to receive treatment, or lifestyle advise about living with diabetes. This incredible charity is now looking to expand, and deploy its support to other countries in Africa where the situation is similar.
Shooting Stars – Annually we sponsor a team of people to walk from London to Brighton. We sponsor them with branded clothing to generate additional sponsorships, along with our own financial donation. In 2023 the total money raised just from the team we backed raised an amazing amount, in excess of £11K. This made us smile even after the 20-odd hour trek around the clock! The donated money goes towards the care of babies and children in hospice care as well as supporting their families.
St Peter and St Paul’s – Where possible, we show our support to St Peter and St Paul’s regular and ad-hoc events. From gathering supplies for the homeless shelter, to the donations of items such as luxury hampers to be auctioned or raffled. In 2024, Interlace Creative Print will be the sole sponsor to an outreach event, where two churches will invite lonely, elderly people to partake in a dinner and dance event and mingle with a group of younger individuals. The aim, and hope, is that the older generation will find a connection of friendship to remove this barrier of loneliness from their lives. We’ll keep you in the loop as this progresses.
We also donate to the Eden Garden Project within the churchyard. This is a bio-diverse area to one side of the church of St Paul’s stretching from Clapham to Wandsworth. An area where nature thrives and community sprits are on a high, and bees are free to make homes and organic lovely honey – delicious. A unique place where kids and adults alike, who may be without a garden, can come together as a family or community and the kids get to play with insects, bugs and wiggly worms in the mud.
Battersea Dogs & Cats home – As a team of animal lovers, Interlace Creative Print couldn’t forget our furry friends. We all know just how important these are to our lives and what companionship they bring – they’re just like a child to be treasured. Unfortunately, however, not everyone shares this mindset, and sometimes Battersea has to step in. This incredible organisation relies solely on donations to continue its great work, which is why we give a monthly donation to show our support and help house and feed these poor puddy cats and doggies.
It is with your clientele that we’re able to maintain our charitable work, and as we continue to scale as a business we will be able to support even more initiatives. Every order you place with us is helping one or more of our chosen charities.
